Recently published in the UK with HarperCollins as well in September 2024, the sequel follows Thomasina and Anne running their own sweetshop after facing down Father Winter and escaping the Frost Fair. However, things take a turn when Henry gets kidnapped by the evil Sea Queen and drags him down to the depths of the River Thames. Determined to save their friend, the girls venture on a dangerous journey through the enchanting world of Free Waters to face a powerful enemy — one who’s possibly stronger than Father Winter himself.
The first book. The Miraculous Sweetmakers: The Frost Fair was chosen as Waterstones’ Book of the Year 2022 and Book of the Month in November 2023, where Natasha wrote most of it on the bus to and from work, often passing by the River Thames every day and leaving her spellbound. The Miraculous Sweetmakers is her Children’s debut series.
