We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that Teresa Driscoll’s second psychological thriller, The Friend is currently at No. 1 in the UK Kindle charts.
Published in March 2018, The Friend follows on from the success of Teresa’s first novel, I Am Watching You, which also bagged the top spot in the UK charts. I Am Watching You is currently sitting at No. 2 in the US and No. 22 in the UK.
Had to do a very quick check that I'm still #1 before publishing this blog!
I am…so here's why I was a teensy bit nervous over this second thriller. #amwriting #amgrateful #TheFriendBLOG: https://t.co/USbUqGTOmQ pic.twitter.com/kWLSKq34KO

The Friend tells the story of a relationship that isn’t how it appears…
Think you know your friends? Think again…
You are friends. You know her. She knows that your son has a water phobia. Yet the police call from the hospital says they were heading for a river…
She is a mother herself. And a mother wouldn’t hurt a child, would she?
Sophie Edwards is on a tortuous three hour journey home waiting to learn if her son will survive surgery after a highly suspicious accident.
She must now face the unthinkable. That the new friend she has invited into her life wishes her only child dead.
So many questions burn inside her. Why is this happening. Why did she LET this happen…
And is it too late now for her son?
A dark and haunting story to make you look every single friend in the face….and wonder.
Teresa’s third psychological thriller, The Promise, is set to be every bit as chilling as her previous two, and will be published next month by Thomas & Mercer.
This is an incredible achievement for Teresa, who writes women’s fiction as well as thrillers, and her work has been optioned for film and sold for translation in 18 countries.
It was during her long career as a journalist that Teresa was deeply moved by the haunting impact that crime has on relatives, friends and witnesses. It is those ripples she now explores in her darker fiction.
Congratulations, Teresa!
