Today we are officially announcing the shortlist for our Summer Writing Competition: Make Us Scared.
We received hundreds of entries in a range of genres and have spent the last week reading through them all to find our top five. It was a tough decision but we finally settled on the following five for a shortlist (in no particular order):
- I, Killer by Max Manning
- Garage Flowers by Richard Lakin
- The Mind Trap by Sue Dawes
- The New Obituaries by Andrew Begg
- Across the Miles of Land and Sea by Caroline Scott
All of the shortlisted entries have now been sent on to Fiona Barton and C. L. Taylor who, alongside Madeleine Milburn, will choose a winner to be announced on 6th October.
The winner will receive £500 and an offer of representation from the agency and all shortlisted entries will receive written feedback from the agency.
Thank you so much to everyone who entered!
