Huge congratulations to Louise Gooding on the publication of her debut book, Just Like MeThis inspiring children’s non-fiction anthology hits the shelves today with Studio Press.

An anthology of 40 inspirational figures who are neurologically or physically diverse.

The world is full of people who are a little different. Our uniqueness makes us who we are. We are all ‘different; not less’.

This is a collection of the true stories of 40 inspirational figures from around the world, all of whom are physically or neurologically diverse. Each story includes struggles and triumphs, a motivational quote and information on each condition.

Reflective of our diverse society, this book features Simone Biles, Selena Gomez, Temple Grandin, Warwick Davies, Daniel Radcliffe, Stephen Hawking, Greta Thunberg and many more.

The book has already been garnering rave reviews in the UK, with BookTrust calling it an ‘uplifting read, celebrating the power of difference and being unique.’ With a US publication set to follow later in the year, we can’t wait to get it into the hands of children all over the world. Louise Gooding is a children’s writer who lives in Switzerland with her partner and three children.

Always a keen reader and writer with an overactive imagination, it was no surprise that after many years working in children’s entertainment Louise channelled her energy and creativity into writing children’s books.

Louise loves the inquisitive nature of children and wanted to discuss topics such as mental health, neurodiversity and disability. Having a neurodiverse family herself, Louise is keen to help increase the visibility of disabled, and neurologically different people in children’s books. Just Like Me is Louise’s debut book.

Happy book birthday, Louise!
