Fiona Barton has signed a new two-book deal with her publishers Transworld.

Following the international success of Fiona’s first two books, The Widow (both a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller) and The Child (described by Lee Child as ‘tense and tantalising’ and Claire Mackintosh as ‘clever and compelling’), Frankie Grey, publishing director at Transworld bought UK and Commonwealth rights to Fiona’s fourth and fifth book.

Frankie commented, “Fiona’s novels look at the betrayals and secrets that lie close to home, coupled with real emotional depth and heart. We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue to build Fiona’s brand and to be able to do so for many years to come.”

Fiona added: “I am so thrilled to be part of the wonderful and inspiring Transworld family for the next part of the journey.  I can’t thank them enough for continuing to believe in me.”

With 450,000 copies of Fiona’s books having sold worldwide, we are so delighted that Fiona will continue to enthral her readers for years to come.

Fiona Barton’s third novel, The Suspect, will be published in February 2019
