Gail Honeyman’s Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine is number one in both the UK paperback chart and the overall UK chart again this week.

Huge congratulations to Gail whose debut novel has been the UK Official Top 50’s number one bestseller in all formats for the last three weeks, outselling all other titles across the fiction, non-fiction and children’s markets. This is yet another spectacular achievement for Gail and it is the first fiction title, first paperback and first book written by a woman to reach the number one spot this year. And to top it off, it’s the first debut to top the chart since October 2016. The paperback has already sold over 100,000 copies in just four weeks, making it the fastest-selling debut in the format in the last ten years, with the exception of E L James’ Fifty Shades of Grey (Arrow) and Dawn French’s A Tiny Bit Marvellous (Penguin).

It’s also Waterstones Book of the Month and there are some great window displays up and down the country, including this beautiful one at Waterstones Glasgow!
