C.L. Taylor‘s debut thriller The Accident and following novel The Lie are both receiving Silver Awards this evening at the inaugural Specsavers Bestseller Awards, in collaboration with Nielsen Book Scan.
These are the first awards in the UK to be based on sales data alone, with a Silver Award marking 250,000 copies sold. Tonight is the official launch of the awards, with a ceremony honouring best-selling authors and celebrating success in sales across all formats.
As you’ll see from their website it’s a select list, showing just how fantastic and special an achievement this is. Both books were Sunday Times bestsellers, as were Taylor’s next two books The Missing and The Escape. Her fifth thriller, The Fear, will be published on 22nd March and is being hailed her best yet by fans and fellow authors alike.
C.L. Taylor’s books have collectively sold over one million copies, so we know it won’t be long before she’s collecting Gold Awards (500,00 copies) and Platinum (a million copies) for her individual titles.
Congratulations, Cally – it’s wonderful to see your astonishing sales figures, and equally wonderful books, getting such deserved recognition.
