Biography
Esmé graduated from the University of Oxford in 2020 with a degree in French and Portuguese, during which she interned at a French literary agency and a Brazilian translation company. After graduating, Esmé worked in academic publishing before joining the MM Agency in 2022.
She enjoys upmarket and book club fiction with strong characters and distinctive voices, sociopolitical narrative non-fiction, postcolonial perspectives, and 20th century historical fiction. Some of her favourite books include The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Pure Fiction by Julie Highmore, Life After Life by Kate Atkinson, Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney, Afropean by Jonny Pitts, Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid, I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith and The Vanishing Half by Britt Bennett.
