It was a busy month for our authors in France which saw the publication of Les Gardiens du phare by Emma Stonex, Un Long, Si Long Après-Midi by Inga Vesper, and Les Incandescentes by C.J Tudor as well as the paperback edition of C.J Tudor’s L’Ombre des Autres.

With the world having now opened up, Inga had the opportunity to travel to Paris for the launch and over three days took part in multiple events, visited bookshops and met with journalists, in particular attending a brilliant event with 30 readers from the Babelio community who were eager to talk to her about her book and get their copies signed.  She also had the chance to take part in a fun Influencers’ Evening at the well-known Harry’s Bar.

Emma Stonex unfortunately missed out on a trip to the capital but that didn’t stop her book capturing the attention of readers. On the eve of publication, the audiobook was longlisted for Prix AudioLib 2022, and Les Gardiens du phare was reviewed widely by booksellers and journalists alike, with incredible features appearing in Le Figaro, Le Point, L’Obs and many more. It was also flagged as a “Coup de Coeur” by many booksellers.

C.J Tudor, who is already an established writer in the French market, saw the launch of Les Incandescentes and L’Ombre des Autres with an explosion of positive reviews. She’ll be out in force for fans later this year attending both the Festival of Frontignan in June and Lisle Noir in September.
