Black Cake Longlisted for Le Prix du Roman FNAC 2023

We are beyond thrilled that Charmaine Wilkerson’s stunning debut Black Cake has been longlisted for the prestigious award Le Prix du Roman FNAC 2023 in France. It is one 30 titles to have been selected by over 400 Fnac booksellers and members.

The shortlist will be announced on 23^rd August with the final winner being announced on 30^th August.

Set in the Caribbean in 1960s and the present day, this beautifully written novel shows how adrift families can be brought together by grief and a strong sense of tradition – particularly their mother’s traditional black cake.

Black Cake will be published in France by Buchet Chastel under the title Les Parts Oubliées on 24^th August 2023.
