In the run up to the Frankfurt Book Fair, it’s been a fabulous week for the Foreign Rights Department… But first, we’re kicking things off with a cover reveal.
The cover for Danielle Jawando’s stunning Young Adult novel, And The Stars Were Burning Brightly, has been revealed and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The novel is published in March 2020, and we can’t wait!
It was a very special day for Teresa Driscoll this week. Her latest chilling thriller, I Will Make You Pay was published by Amazon / Thomas and Mercer, and on Teresa’s birthday, no less! And the celebrations didn’t stop there…
I Will Make You Pay also received a brilliant write up from the Sunday Mirror, calling it a “slick psychological thriller”.

AND, it was announced this week that Teresa’s third psychological thriller, The Promise has reached the incredible 100,000 copies sold. Sending huge congratulations and a very Happy Birthday, Teresa!
C.L. Taylor’s fantastically creepy psychological thriller, Sleep is in the Sunday Times bestseller list for her second consecutive week, ranking at an incredible No. 10!
Holly Bourne wrote a brilliant piece for the Irish Times on her new YA novel, The Places I’ve Cried In Public, about relationship red flags, and toxic teenage relationships.

Ashley Audrain’s The Push has sold to Forlagid in Iceland, taking the total number of territories sold to an outstanding 30. This truly is an exceptional number since mid-June when Ashley first signed with the Agency!
Macedonian rights to Elizabeth Kay’s Seven Lies have sold to Kultura.
Teresa Driscoll’s I Am Watching You has sold to Kulture in Macedonia.
Finnish rights to The Places I’ve Cried in Public by Holly Bourne have sold to Gummerus.
Polish rights in And The Stars Were Burning Brightly by Danielle Jawando to GW Foksal.
Greek rights in Emma Stonex’s stunning novel, The Lamplighters, have gone to Metaichmio, and Arabic rights have gone to Dar Altanweer.
The Other People by C.J. Tudor has sold to Pygmalion in France.
The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jennifer Bayliss-Jennings has gone to Newton Compton in Italy.
Madeleine Milburn, Liane-Louise Smith, Georgina Simmonds and Hayley Steed will all be heading out to the Frankfurt Book Fair next week. There they will hold 162 meetings with editors from all over the world, selling international rights for our brilliant authors. Check back in soon for a full update once the dust has settled!
