Helen Wallen’s novel about the trials and tribulations of the first 12 month’s of motherhood, The Mummy Lessons, will be published by Hodder in Spring next year – an emotional rollercoaster featuring highs, lows, tears and laughter.

It’s been a momentous week here at Madeleine Milburn: the agency has published its first picture book! Illustrator Poonam Mistry is leading the way in this groundbreaking moment in agency history, continuing her collaboration with author Chitra Soundar with their new book, You’re Snug with Me, published by Lantana.

Irish Times bestselling author Fionnuala Kearney’s epic romance, The Book of Love, was published in trade paperback in Ireland this week by HarperCollins. The novel is ‘For everyone who has loved and lost’ – there won’t be a dry eye in the house.

We are thrilled to be representing Debbie Johnson, who has moved from HarperCollins to Orion to pursue a different direction in her writing career. Debbie, the bestselling author of the Comfort Food Cafe series, will be writing bigger novels for a broader audience at Orion.

It’s been an exciting week for C.J. TudorThe Chalk Man has been shortlisted in the Crime & Thriller category at the Specsavers National Book Awards 2018. C.J. is nominated alongside writers such as Ian Rankin, Val McDermid and Robert Galbraith.

C.J. has also been nominated in two categories at the Goodreads Choice Awards, one for the Best Debut Author, and the other for the Best Mystery Thriller. As the only major book awards decided by readers, you can cast your votes using the links above.

Gail Honeyman’s Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine is still topping the charts, and has spent 21 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list – sitting at No. 3 this week. It is currently at No. 5 in the UK, having sold 10,117 copies which brings the paperback total to 740,000, and the ebook total to 460,000. Eleanor Oliphant has also been shortlisted for two awards at the Specsavers National Book Awards, one in the Popular fiction category and the other in the New Writers category.

Kathryn Croft’s novel, The Warning has made it into the top 100 Kindle bestseller list – a brilliant achievement.

Mel Sherratt’s first paperback, novel, Hush Hush has sold a phenomenal 3618 copies this week, taking the total to 6,134 paperbacks sold. Ebook has now sold 4465 copies. Congratulations, Mel!

Vietnamese rights to Gail Honeyman’s Eleanor Oliphant have gone to Nha Nam, meaning the novel has been sold into 43 territories overall.

Dutch rights to Michelle Adams’ Between the Lies have gone to Defontein.

Romanian rights to Samuel Pollen’s The Year I Didn’t Eat have gone to Editura Gama.

Bulgarian rights to C.J. Tudor’s The Taking of Annie Thorne have gone to Colibri.

And finally, Danish rights to Charlie Bird’s The Mindful Detective: Art of Death have gone to Gads Forlag.
