We’ve got a short news round up this week before we head off for Christmas, but with some very exciting news. But first, a cover reveal.

We adore this cover for bestselling author C.L. Taylor’s new psychological thriller, StrangersThe novel is available to pre-order from Amazon now, for release by HarperCollins / Avon in April 2020!

This week, C.L. Taylor also wrote a brilliant and enlightening blog post about her journey to becoming an author.

Owen Nicholls’ hilarious romantic comedy, Love, Unscripted, has been included in one of iBooks Books of the Year 2019. They said: “Nicholls shows a lovely lightness of touch in this enjoyable debut, which follows movie obsessive Nick as he tries to win back his ex.”

It was announced by The Bookseller this week that Beth Morrey’s stunning debut novel, Saving Missy, will be narrated by Oscar-winning actress Dame Harriet Walter in audio! Saving Missy is published by HarperFiction in February next year. Beth has also been chosen as one of The Media Eye‘s Rising Stars this week! They said: “Beth Morrey, a debut author, has written one of the most anticipated releases of 2020, with ten different publishers fighting for the acquisition.” 

Nuala Ellwood’s brilliant new thriller, The House on the Lake has received a fabulous review from Emma Curtis. The Night You Left author said: The House on the Lake is so taughtly written I couldn’t put it down. Nuala Ellwood writes like a dream.”

On the international rights front, Abbie Greaves’ The Silent Treatment has gone to Planeta in Spain.

Russian rights to Jodie Chapman’s Another Life have sold to Sindbad.

The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna has gone to De Saxus in France.

The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh by Helen Rutter to Giunti in Italy.

The Long, Long Afternoon by Inga Vesper has gone to Piemme in Italy.
