The illustration world is always good fun, but never more than when there’s a challenge going on, and this month’s is tiny and delightful.
Every day, illustrators taking part have to create an image which is only 1x1inch, not an easy feat. A couple of our brilliant illustrators are taking part and you can follow them on Instagram for daily updates, but here’s a sneak peek…
Anya Glazer – Anya’s first picture book, Magical Pets, was published in September by David Fickling Books. She works in pencil and likes to incorporate humour and wordplay into her work. She is continuing to work with David Fickling Books and is also working with HarperCollins US. (Instagram @anya_glazer)
Louise Warwick – Louise was shortlisted for the Batsford Prize in 2017 and has since graduated from the Cambridge School Of Art. She works mainly in collage, editing digitally, and is working on projects with Ladybird and Liontree. (Instagram @lou_warwick)
Yuhua Lo – Yuhua was the winner of the Faber FAB Illustration Prize earlier this year and is now working on her debut picture book. She lives in Taiwan and is a graduate of the Cambridge Illustration MA. She also works in animation and editorial. (Instagram: @boboillustration)
