We couldn’t be prouder of our very own Hayley Steed, who has been named one of The Bookseller’s Rising Stars 2019.
Rising Stars is an annual celebration of the very best in the publishing industry, marking those most likely to really make a change in the industry. And since joining the agency three years ago, Hayley really has made her mark both here and in the wider publishing scene – no one is better deserving of this accolade than her.
In July 2016 Hayley started her role as Madeleine Milburn’s assistant. It was clear from the outset that she had something special so it has been utterly thrilling to witness her rapid rise since then. She is now a formidable agent with an eye for the original yet commercial, a hunger for deal making, and absolute faith in every single one of her authors, and the Agency’s as a whole. She is, in short, a complete star – and one that most definitely has an exciting journey in front of her. It will be thrilling to see where it takes her. A nibbie in 2020?
Now that’s a challenge she’ll relish.
