Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman is No. 2 on both sides of the Atlantic this week, as reported in The Sunday Times and The New York Times

In the UK, the book sold 18,790 paperbacks, taking the total sold to over 600,000 – another milestone for Gail Honeyman.

In addition, with just under 8,000 eBooks sold this week, the title has topped the Monthly e-book rankings in the UK for the fifth consecutive month, beating The Girl on the Train’s record of consecutive months in the top spot. Eleanor is also in with a chance of beating The Girl on the Train’s record number of Weekly No. 1’s if it tops the charts for just one more week.

As reported in The Bookseller this week, Eleanor has been a massive success in the Anglophone markets this year:

‘[The title] tops Ireland’s chart for the year to date, charts 11th in Australia and hits eighth in New Zealand…Honeyman’s award-winning debut [deals with] seemingly relatable touchstones around the world.’ The Bookseller, 17th August 2018

Having sold the book into 41 territories worldwide, it’s fair to say we agree!
