We are over the moon that agency author Anna Fargher has triumphed at this year’s Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Awards in the fiction category, with her stunning debut The Umbrella Mouse.

Run in partnership with BookTrust, the awards were judged by a panel of experts, and aim to encourage parents and carers to spend more time reading with their children.

Anna received £1000 prize money and her fantastic middle-grade novel will be stocked in Sainsbury’s across the country.

This is the latest in a string of successes for Anna and the little mouse. Earlier this year the novel was named Waterstones Book of the Month and has received ongoing acclaim, such as a five-star Telegraph review and glowing praise from British children’s author Michael Morpurgo.

Congratulations, Anna, and long may yours and Pip’s success continue!
