We are delighted to share the news that Katherine Faulkner‘s bestselling thriller ‘The Break-in‘ is being turned into a limited series for Peacock. With filming planned to start later this year, the book will be adapted by screenwriter Megan Gallagher and produced by Carnival Films, reuniting the creative team beind the hit Peacock drama All The Fault, whose starry cast was led by Sarah Snook and included Dakota Fanning, Michael Peña and Jake Lacy. All Her Fault was released to huge critical acclaim towards the end of last year and became the biggest original series launch in Peacock’s history, with 46 million hours viewed in its first three weeks of availability.
The Break-In follows Alice Rathbone who, in the aftermath of a devastating home invasion, refuses to accept that the tragic event was simply random. Desperate for answers, Alice starts pulling at threads and soon finds a trail of dark secrets that spiral closer to home than she could ever have imagined.

Carnival Films is part of Universal International Studios. The company’s past productions include Downton Abbey, The Last Kingdom, The Day Of The Jackal and Lockerbie: A Search for Truth. In addition to her work on All Her Fault, Megan Gallagher is known for writing and executive producing the BBC series Wolf, based on Mo Hayder’s Jack Caffery novels. Up next, she has the ITV drama The Blame starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth.
Katherine previously worked as an investigative reporter and editor and was Head of News at The Times. She is the author of The Other Mothers and Greenwich Park. The Break-In is her third novel.
