Trailer Released by Hulu for Black Cake TV Series Based on the Novel by Charmaine Wilkerson

The official trailer for Black Cake has been released by Hulu.

Airing November 1 on Hulu, the drama series stars Mia Isaac, Adrienne Warren, Chipo Chung, Ashley Thomas, Lashay Anderson, Faith Alabi, Glynn Turman, Ahmed Eljah, Simon Wan, and Sonita Henry. From Marissa Jo Cerar, Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Films, and Aaron Kaplans’ Kapital Entertainment the show is based on the best-selling novel, Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson.

The trailer has been shared by The Today Show, as the novel was previously chosen as a Read With Jenna Book Club pick. It was also featured on Barack Obama’s Summer Reading List in 2022 and is a #2 New York Times Bestseller. Black Cake follows two estranged siblings who must set aside their differences to deal with the consequences of their mother’s hidden past, centered around a traditional Caribbean cake.
