The London Book Fair is drawing to a close, and we absolutely loved meeting with scouts and publishers from across the globe, as well as some of our wonderful authors.

After two years without the buzz and excitement brought by LBF, we felt extremely lucky to toast to the phenomenal success of Nita Prose‘s glittering debut The Maid, along with Nita and her publishers. Rights for The Maid have been sold into a whopping 39 languages, which was definitely something to celebrate!

The success of The Maid has been truly wonderful to witness. Readers from all corners of the globe fell in love with Nita’s writing and her brilliant heroine, Molly. The Maid is currently sitting at No.12 on The New York Times bestseller list for a twelfth week, having shot up to the No.1 spot in February 2022. It spent ten fabulous consecutive weeks on The Sunday Times bestseller list, where its highest position was No.3. It was also No.1 in the Canadian bestseller lists, No.3 in the Irish bestseller list, and No.4 in the Australian Original Fiction chart.

Congratulations, Nita, we are so proud of you! It was an honour to raise a glass in your honour at the London Book Fair, and we cannot wait to see what is next for The Maid, especially as film rights have been optioned by Universal Studios, with Florence Pugh in the starring role of Molly the Maid!

If you have yet to read The Maid, don’t miss out – buy your copy here in the UK, or here in the US!
