British-Italian Silvia lives in Hackney with her boyfriend and all her books. When she’s not writing, she works in admissions at a school in Croydon. Originally from Nuneaton, natal town of George Eliot, Silvia is ashamed to admit that she hasn’t read a single one of Eliot’s books – not even the skinny ones like Silas Marner. Something she is proud of, however, are her lovely flat vowels. She has an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London, and completed the Curtis Brown Creative ‘Writing Your Novel’ course in 2022. She recently won the Comedy Women in Print Prize 2022/23. Her debut novel, Happy Above Us, will be published by HarperCollins in 2024.
