Biography

Archana Maniar was raised dually in Mumbai and California. She is an infectious disease physician and Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Davis, who was on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response, witnessing the immense personal and global impact of the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. In her role as a professor, Archana teaches about the consequences of climate change and Dry Spells is a culmination of decades of observations of life both in the East and the West, years of studying human nature during stress and sickness, and a love for storytelling.
