What I'm Looking For

I represent literary, literary crossover, and book club fiction.

I am looking for smart, voice-led fiction with wide appeal. I really admire writers who have a commitment to craft and style, and I am drawn to books that utilise a strong hook or a unique voice. I enjoy novels where the personal is political, books that investigate identity and explore or critique the way that we live, and fiction that uses individual stories to explore moments of wider societal change. I am open to both intimate, closely told novels and sweeping narratives that are epic in their scale and scope, and all that lies between. I am also looking for bold, zeitgeisty novels that will spark conversation.

I also love literary leaning fiction that blends with elements of genre, in particular novels with shades of the speculative, magical realist, or horror. For me, writing in this area needs to be grounded in the human stories at the heart of the novel, and I really enjoy books with big imaginations.

Above all, I want to see books that combine compelling writing, unforgettable characters, and thematic and emotional depth with well-crafted plot. Please see below for a list of some of my favourite books.
